This is a story about a wolf... a lonely one. He lived in a forest, in the mountains. A hunter killed his parents when he has eight months old. After that he tried to be a survivor. Every animal in the forest tried to get away from him. Unfortunately, he is a wolf and a hunter. He wants to have some friends, but nobody wants him. The bear was to busy finding his honey. The fox cheated him very badly. She offered him some meet stolen from the lynx. The last one fought with the young wolf and hurt him badly.
A rabbit family found him when he was hurt and tried to save him. They cleaned his wounds with water and put some plants on them. After the wolf was well he kept a friendship relationship wi
th the rabbit. Specially the little one likes the wolf very much. Some times they play together in the forest. The wolf hunts only insects and lizards, because his friend doesn’t eat meat.
One day when he ran with the little rabbit in the forest they met a young lady wolf. She attacked the rabbit very fast. The little rabbit cried for help. The wolf arrived immediately.
- Leave him alone or I will bite you!
- Why? asked the lady wolf. It’s my prey. And it’s meat. I must eat, I’m
hungry.
- I will help you find food, but leave him. It’s my friend.
The lady wolf laughed.
- A wolf can’t be friend with a rabbit. They are food for us.
- Is it true? the wolf ask the rabbit.
The rabbit didn’t say anything. The wolf asked again, but the rabbit
remained silent.
- What did I tell you? asked the lady wolf. Stay with me and I will teach
you how to live like a real wolf life.
- I will stay with you, say the wolf, but let him go. And I must go with
him first and talk with the family.
- My dear , is not your family, you are a wolf, and he is a rabbit.
- I will come back to you, promises the wolf, because the lady wolf was
very beautiful.
He goes back with the rabbit. But there game was finish. When he arrives
at the rabbit’s home, he asked the same question to the older rabbit. This one confirmed what the lay wolf had told him. He was a predator, a hunter and his real food was meat. But the rabbit reminded him that they were his rescuers when he was hurt. The wolf became angry and told them:
- From this day stay away from me! Because your family saved me I
won’t hunt you, but if you will show yourself on my way I will kill you.
From that day the rabbit tried to hide carefully from the wolf. The wolf
went and met his lady wolf and together became a powerful hunting couple. The two wolfs remain together in the winter. The heavy winter bring a lot of snow. It was very hard to hunt. The lady wolf was expecting cubs and hungry. She needed to eat. After a weak of hunger the wolf left her alone and went hunting, but didn’t find anything. On the next morning saw in front of there den a rabbit. Faster he caught him. The rabbit cried:
- Please, let me! I was your friend, remember!
- Yes, my friend, we were friends. But my lady needs to eat, said the wolf
and killed the rabbit.
He offer his hunt to his lady.
